The sun also rises.
Thanks to everyone who has supported me throughout my career! Thanks for reading this blog. I can't express just how significant the support and encouragement has been, but I'm incredibly fortunate for it. So thank you.
Not only did I win the race, but for the first time in my career I broke four minutes with an unofficial time of 3:59.3. Thanks so much to my rabbits and everyone who came to cheer! It was an awesome night and one of the most memorable races of my running career.
Thanks to Chris Kelsall at athleticsillustrated.com for the immediately above and below coverages of the mile!
And just as it sets, the sun also rises.
Alright. Well. There can't be a blog about trying to make the Olympics without an Olympic chase, so this is it: the last blog entry.
I have one final race video to post. When I didn't make the Olympics, and I wasn't sure what the future of my running would be, I decided that I had to end my season on a high note. I had never broken the 4 minute barrier in the mile and knew that if I were to end my career now I would forever regret not being a “sub-4 minute miler”. I set a date, chose a track, arranged for a few guys to pace me as far as they could, and put the word out that I was going to try to break the four minute mile.

The End.
